“Dad can I hold her now, please!”
“Loz calm down,” Sephiroth whispered, “Do you want to wake
your mother?”
Loz pursed his lips and started to jump up and down. There
had been so many people in and out of the room all day. The boys had had to
retreat to the waiting room to escape the noise, plus Yazoo was getting
claustrophobic.
Sephiroth smiled at his oldest. Loz had been the most excited
of the three to be getting a new sibling. It wasn’t that Yazoo and Kadaj
weren’t happy to have Kairi in their lives, Kadaj said everyday how happy he
was going to be not to be the baby of the family anymore. It was just that Loz
had always loved being an older brother and little Kairi was the first girl
born to the family in a long time.
“All right Loz come here,” Sephiroth said softly as he got
up from his chair.
Loz ran up to his father, crawling up in the chair Sephiroth
had just rising from. He cradled his arms and smiled up at his dad. Sephiroth
smiled back, gently placing the little girl in her older brother’s arms.
“Hello little sister,” Loz said to her, “I’m your big
brother… while one of them. I’m the oldest. My name’s Loz and I promise to help
mom and dad look after you, just like I promised I’d help look after Yazoo and
Kadaj. They’re your other brothers. Yazoo’s the one with the long silver hair
that kind of looks like a girl and Kadaj is the mean one, but I’m sure he won’t
be mean to you. And if he is, I’ll bop ‘em on his head for you.”
Sephiroth couldn’t help but smile as little Kairi slept in
her brother’s arms, listening to him promise to protect her even from Kadaj.
“Keep it down loud mouth,” Kadaj whined from across the
room. “Some of us are trying to sleep.”
“Like your mother,” Angel groaned, eyes still shut.
“I tried to keep the quite,” Sephiroth whispered kissing her
on the forehead.
“And your doing such a great job,” Angel moaned
sarcastically as she placed one of her pillows over her head.
Sephiroth shot Kadaj a dirty look as he striated up.
“Sorry dad,” Kadaj whispered.
“Ah dad,” Sephiroth heard from behind him. He turn to see
that Kairi beginning to stir. “What do I do,” Loz asked.
Sephiroth just smiled, “Give her here.” He took the whining
girl from her brother and began to comfort her. Loz rushed back over to his
brothers smiling from ear to ear.
“She’s so little,” He whispered to Yazoo.
“What did you expect,” He said looking up from his 3DS.
“She’s a baby, babies are little.”
“Yeah… and to think in a few more days, Aqua and Terra will
be having there babies.”
“Great more whinny brats,” Kadaj mumbled.
“Don’t get to excited Loz,” Yazoo whispered. “This is Aqua’s
first pregnancy and it’s not uncommon for first time mothers to be late.”
“How do you know so much about babies,” Loz asked.
“You don’t think dad really reads those books do you?”
Loz blushed and Kadaj snickered as Kairi began to cry.
“Give her here Sephiroth,” Angel yawned.
A/N: Snow! Why’d it have to snow?!
Ego: I like it!
Me: Your not the one dealing with a slow internet either.
Sephiroth: I don’t understand. The sun was out today, not
a cloud in the sky. It was just cold out and your internet still didn’t want to
work worth a damn.
Muse: I think it has to do with her computer as well. It
may not like the cold all that much.
Me: Whatever, I’m so done with winter.
Sephiroth: Me too
Muse: Me three
Ego: Not me
