Tuesday, January 07, 2014 (Yazoo’s POV)
We sat just outside the bedroom door, watching mother pace
back and forth.
“What’s she doing,” asked Kadaj.
“She’s just pacing,” I responded. She had been in the
nursery all day arranging things. The date was fast approaching when our little
sister would come into the world. Father seemed to be more nervous than mother.
“Move Loz! You’re crushing me”
“Hush up or she’ll know we’re out here,” I insisted.
“Why are we hanging around our here anyway? Why can’t we
just go in,” Loz asked.
“Because mother told us to stay out,” I answered.
“Yeah she thinks we’ll break something.”
“Well you may break something little brother,” Loz mocked.
“Boys!”
“Busted!” We all ran down the stairs as fast as we could. We
dared not upset her, the last mood swing she had cause Loz to cry. Then mother
started crying, then we were all crying. It was kind of embarrassing.
“By the way Yaz, why did you start calling the mother,” Loz
asked me.
“I don’t know, it just felt right.”
“You’re weird,” Kadaj said.
“So I’ve been told. Well I’m off to the TARDIS for a bit of
light reading before bed.”
“War and Peace is not light reading!”
“Maybe not for someone with a small brain like yours Loz,
but I can read though is in a weekend.”
“That’s because he’s really an alien from outerspace,” Kadaj
teased. So I’m smarter than most kids my age and can read at a high school
level. I couldn’t help it. I don’t know why I’m this way I just am. It’s no
reason for name calling.
“Kadaj, say your sorry!”
“Why?”
“Cuz you hurt his feelings!”
“Well… he should say sorry to you. He said you had a small
brain!”
“Well in comparison, it’s smaller than his. We each have our
strengths because of the Jenova cells and he’s is that he’s super smart.”
“Where in all of Gaia did you hear that Loz,” I asked.
“From dad,” he responded. I guess he has a point.
“Is there something I’m missing here,” Kadaj asked.
“I’ll explain when you’re older,” Father said in passing.
“Where’s your mother?”
