TARDIS Trauma

Thursday, January 02, 2014 (TARDIS Trauma)

“How long do you think he can stay in there,” Loz asked.

“I don’t know, I don’t even know how he made it this long,” Kadaj answered. “I mean I get it, it was sad and all… I cried, but I didn’t feel the need to spend the next week hiding in my room.”

“Has it really been a week?”

“Yes Loz, yes it has.”

The boys stared at each other for a moment. “His spent a week, locked up in his TARDIS, hugging a stuffed version of the eleventh Doctor,” Loz asked.

“A stuffed version that talks, that’s really mom’s.”

Another moment passes.

“Yazoo,” Loz yelled banging on the TARDIS door, “It’s time to come out now! You can’t stay in there forever. Mom’s going to find out sooner or later!”

“Bro I think mommy already knows.”

“You two will never understand,” Yazoo yelled back, “It’s emotional! I can’t go on.”

Loz continued banging on the door, trying to convince Yazoo to come out.

“What do you think he means by it’s emotional, I mean aside from the fact that our Doctor regenerated and we have to wait till September for the new season?”

“I don’t know Kadaj,” Loz said still banging away, “But we have to get him out of there. Remember what happened last time?”

“You mean the day after Thanksgiving when mom broke the news to us that Matt Smith was leaving and we were getting a new Doctor?”

“Stop reminding me,” Yazoo shouted.

“Come on Yaz,” Loz yelled back, “Get your skinny butt out here!”

“Hey, what if Yazoo was in love with Matt and that’s why his all upset,” Kadaj asked.

“Don’t be stupid little brother,” Loz answered, “Yaz likes girls, don’t you bro.”

They got no answer from the other side. It was dead quite for a moment, then Yazoo started crying.

“I knew it! Yaz likes boys!”

“Kadaj!”

“What, It’s not that big a deal. Been around Cloud and Zack enough not to care anymore.”

Loz just sighed. His youngest brother could be such a pain sometimes. “Kadaj, I don’t think that’s the issue here. Yaz is only eight after all.”

“So, I’ve heard stories of guys figuring out they like boys like that when they were Yazoo’s age.”

“From who?!”

“Cloud and Zack,” Kadaj answered, “Well mostly Cloud.”

Loz stared at his baby brother.

“It’s true! I heard Cloud tell mom once they he knew he liked boys when he was still a little kid! Although he did say at the time he thought he liked boys and girls…”

“Just shut it,” Loz interrupted, “Help me get Yaz out of there already.”

“I’m never coming out,” Yazoo yelled back, “I’m living in this playhouse for the rest of my life!”

“I doubt that,” Kadaj called back, “You’ll get to big for it someday.”

“Still not helping!” Loz started banging on the door again. “Get out here Yazoo!”

“Boys,” Sephiroth yelled out the kitchen window.

“Yes dad,” they both answered.

“Stop yelling, you mother’s trying to sleep. Leave your brother alone and come have dinner.”

Loz and Kadaj both sighed. They could see they weren’t winning this battle tonight.

“We’ll try again tomorrow,” Loz said.

“What if he still won’t come out? What if he really tries to live in there forever?”
“Then we’ll let mom deal with it.”
